God Puts It in our Spirit

Would you get angry like Naaman did, if you had a sickness or some kind of ailment and you went to a man or woman of GOD for help and they didn't even meet with you personally, but sent someone else to tell you what the Lord said to do? And would you think it foolish if GOD said through that person, for you to go dip 7 times in a dirty river and you'll be healed and clean? That's what happened with Naaman. You can read about it in II Kings 5:9-14.

It made Naaman furious. His servants asked him would he be more apt to obey if he'd been told to do something harder.

Sometimes GOD puts it in our spirit to do some things that don't make any sense, like He has with me when He said, "Read these same Scriptures over and over every day, bless me at all times, keep praise in your mouth continually, eat for strength and see what I will do!"

I confess, I find myself getting agitated that GOD doesn't heal me the way I want Him to, and that is, quick and easy, with no effort of my own. When I have not been willing to do what He asks, He reminds me of these things (I hope they help you): "Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death; even the death of the Cross." He humbled Himself, and I must humble myself if I am to receive grace for my victory.

David in the Psalms said, "I humble my soul with fastings." I have told you all that I am the biggest brat in the kingdom; for that reason, I have to chasten my own soul at times in order to get my whole being lined up with the Word of GOD to where I submit myself to Him, resist the devil so he flees. Some have said I'm the most obedient person, and I quickly tell them, "It doesn't come natural I'm sad to say; I have to work at it like anyone else, deny myself, take up my cross, and follow my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ."

If GOD has given you peculiar instructions to obey Him by doing certain things, just do it and get it over with, so He can use you in greater things.

The Lord bless you extremely as you live for Him.
