Going Fishing

Guess what Everybody! I got to play "Hide N' Seek" with my little friends last night, and it sure was FUN!! I could only play one round, but hey! After I counted and went looking for them (6 year old Noah, 7 year old Jonathan, and 13 year old Semira who was holding 11 month old Caleb), I found them all being very quiet in the same place. Now isn't that a shocker: all of them together and being quiet for like 5 whole minutes? These kids are amazing & such a blessing!
They did their part, hide; then I had to do my part and
that was to find them.
If we are going to get serious changes in our own life, we must change our thought patterns; but we can only do it by going fishing in The Word of GOD, and ask Him for the Words we need that will resurrect this part of us.
“For they are life to those who find them," He said;
"And health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it are all the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth, (don’t listen to the devil’s lies you’ve been listening to; but listen
to the truth and let it soak in.)
And put perverse (bullheaded) lips far from you. Let your
eyes look straight ahead,
And your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet, (think about what you are doing, where your good choices will lead you;
how you are thinking.)
Brothers and Sisters, you know how children can be so flighty, and when we want to make sure they get what we are saying, we say, “Look at me! Pay attention to what I’m telling you.” We are those same children to GOD, so He has to tell us the same thing:
“My son, pay attention to My words;
Incline your ear to My sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart.” GOD is telling us to hold on to His Words that will set us free; to keep them playing in our head and heart until they become a part of us, like a new make-over that stays longer than a day. If we keep His Word before us that bring healing and hope just by reading them, that make-over deep within ourselves, and/or those we pray for can last a lifetime.
