I felt led of the Lord to share some things with you today. I was reading in Job 38: 1, 2 where "The Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind." (He may be answering you right now in Verse 2) "Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?" I have read that question over and over again this morning. What a great question for GOD to ask, and He expects us to answer. We get good counsel from the Word of GOD, either on our own or from the preacher at Church, then we go eat lunch, or make a phone call and get to talking about the cares of the world, and what’s going on around us, and before we know it, there went the gold nuggets the Lord just gave us, out the window. (Mark 4:15) “Be doers of the Word, not hearers only, deceiving yourself.”
Proverbs 19:27-29 Stop listening, my son, to the instruction that causes you to err from (or to disobey) the words of knowledge.
A perfect example of this is when Eve knew what GOD said, but listened to the deceiver who twisted GOD’s Word around to mean something else. He still does that to this day. The devil, disguised as a serpent asked Eve, “Did GOD say you could not have?” Eve told him, We can have all of this, we just can’t have ....., “nor can we touch it, lest we die.” The devil lied to her and made her think it was GOD Who lied to her. What, or who is it GOD has told you to stay away from?
Satan accuses GOD to us.
The Lord encouraged me and wanted me to do so with you, to hold on to the precious truths you are taught, that you don’t lose it through vain conversations. Beware of the “words without knowledge” that darken wise counsel. (Job 38:2)
Someone told Jesus, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to You."
But Jesus asked them, “Who is My Mother? And who are My brothers?”
Pointing to His disciples, Jesus said, "Here are My mother and My brothers. For whosoever shall do the will of My Father which is in heaven, they are My brother, and sister, and mother.” Matthew 12:47-50; Luke 8:21; Mark 3:33, 35.
Father GOD, help me to remember when reading or hearing Your Word, these truths are precious and are given to me to teach me; for reproof, for correction, and for instructions for how to please GOD so I may be blameless in my conscience, and furnished for His service.
Thank You that though we forget a lot of times, You never do, and You'll remind us,
in Jesus' Name, Amen.
