If You Didn’t Have a Tongue

How many people have misunderstood and cut off one of their body parts after reading or hearing these next Verses, or else wondered if you were supposed to consider it? Well, hold yourself together, because it's not what you think.
"The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish woman pulls it down with her hands.” (Do you please the Lord with your hands?) “If your right hand offends you, cut it off and cast it from you, for it is more profitable for you that you lose one body part, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.” (Matthew 5:30)
Jesus told us parables and stories that mean other things, and it's important to understand His Words. "If your right hand offends you, cut it off" doesn't mean to literally dismember yourself. I believe what He is telling us here is this: If we can't have a cell phone in our possession for instance, without neglecting our time with GOD, with our husband, and/or children, or without neglecting our duties, we need to either not have a cell phone at all; or we need to use the fruit of self-control, and put it away for a time, and only allow ourselves to be on it from this time to that time.
Same goes for the computer; or if you can't be on the computer without sinning with your eyes and thoughts, get rid of it, or else don't allow yourself to be on it without people around. We need accountability, if we are afraid of weakening in any area. If you have to be around someone you do not like, and won't control what you say when you're around them because they get on your dirty nerves, don't say anything, just as if you didn't have a tongue.
Sure hope this helps!
