It's Never Too Late
If sin isn't dealt with in a child, even though he/she may only be a toddler, their behavior will worsen until, later in years, they are sent to a Dr. for help, and he puts them on medication to "control" their behavior. It must grieve the Holy Spirit of GOD to see this played out time and time again, when the correction should be dealt with GOD's way. He said, "Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; but the rod shall drive it far from him." Proverbs 22:15.
Don't misunderstand me: I am not saying every child who is on meds needs a spanking instead.
In a day when two parents can't agree on discipline and save their child from being a verbal abuser later in years, what do we do? What can we do? If we are the parent raising our child the way GOD says to in His Word, we continue to do so and leave the consequences from the world to GOD. If you are that parent, or a neighbor, or someone else looking on, Pray!
1 John 5:12-15 "If you have Jesus living in you, you have life: he who does not have the Son of GOD does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the Name of the Son of GOD, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the Name of the Son of GOD. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him"
What a beautiful, beautiful promise from Him! So assuring and comforting!!!
If your child is grown and GOD has shown you to mistakes you made by not raising them His way, confess the sins to GOD, be specific, ask His forgiveness and ask your child's forgiveness; then ask GOD to turn it around and send people into your child's life who are good for them and will be a good example. Ask GOD to convict your child of sin, of right, and of judgement, even if they are living with you. As long as we're alive,
it's never too late!
