Let Us Encourage Each Other
Ok, we'd better wake up. If you ever listen to Christian songs, and/or testimonies on YouTube, and read the comments below, you'll see they have changed. There are a lot of negative comments on some great Christian YouTube sites. I'm not going to say who the majority of the oppressors are, but we all know our adversary, the devil is the leader of the pack.
Be aware. Jesus said they hated Him, and they will hate us. Is a servant greater than his Master? Much bullying toward Ch...ristians is happening and will increase, but a Christian's response should not be from the devil. We are called to seek out the lost and be a light. "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise." "Without peace and holiness, no man shall see GOD." Notice there's a period there. This is another way of saying it: No one will see GOD if they are not at peace with Him, and with their fellowman; and if we are not living a holy life.
This morning I was reading in 2 Chronicles 10. I want to share with you what I got from it was from verse 15 "The king did not listen to the people: for the turn of events was from GOD, that the Lord might fulfill His Word which He had spoken."
Now, I am sharing this because this is happening today. Many of our country's leaders do not listen to the people! But, it doesn't end there: for the turn of events "are from GOD, that the Lord might fulfill His Word which He has spoken."
We, as children of GOD cannot be fretting with the rest of the world about all the things that are happening around us. GOD specifically told us "Fret not yourself because of evil doers." He gave us a work to do, and that is to seek out the lost, and to let our light shine before men, "that they might see your good works, and glorify your Father in Heaven." How are we going to lead someone to Christ when we have the same fear, the same anxieties they do??!
I overheard two women in the grocery store line. One said frantically, "What is this world coming to?" I couldn't help it... I looked back and said to her, "An END thank GOD!" It hurt me to see the woman in such agony over the events taking place, and we have to help people realize, it is not going to get better. It will happen like GOD knew it would: people's hearts will grow worse and worse; the love of many will turn cold because of the sins that abound around them. That is not supposed to include Christians. We are supposed to be abounding in love toward each other and drawing nearer to GOD and each other more than ever before. Let us encourage each other more and more, especially as we see Christ's coming approaching.
