Oppression is defined as:
"prolonged cruel or unjust treatment or control."
I feel like GOD wants you to know, He does not oppress His people. He wants you free from oppression. When we walk in disobedience, it takes us out from under our protective umbrella, and leaves us to the wolves, for them to oppress. That is one very good reason to walk in obedience to GOD. I’m not sure how many of you will actually read all these verses I studied today until just now; but I believe they will help you. First Verse is, Job 37:23 GOD is excellent in power, in judgment and abundant justice; He does not oppress.
Psalms 18:28 - For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
Luke 10:17 - And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through Thy name.
Isaiah 52:4 For thus said the Lord GOD, My people went down aforetime into Egypt to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
(That is, through no fault of their own.)
Mark 7:21-23, Galatians 5:19-21, and Colossians 3:5-8 (These Verses are a list of possible areas of sin and demonic activity due to sin that can cause oppression in one’s life.)
Job 36:15 But by means of their suffering, He rescues those who suffer. For He gets their attention through oppression.
Romans 2:9 “Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile…”
They shall see the glory of the Lord, The excellency of our God. GOD says to you and to me, “Strengthen the weak hands,
And make firm the feeble knees.
"Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you." (Note: “Vengeance” means: Punishment inflicted for an injury, or wrong.” “Recompense” means: GOD will make amends to someone for loss or harm suffered.”
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of
the deaf shall be unstopped.
6 Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert.
Ye are My witnesses, saith the Lord, and My servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe Me, and understand that I AM He: before Me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me. I, even I, AM the Lord; and beside Me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are My witnesses, saith the Lord, that I AM God. Yes, before the day was I AM He; and there is no one that can deliver out of My hand: I will work, and who shall reverse it? Verse 18 “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. The beast of the field will honor Me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen. This people I have formed for Myself; they shall declare My praise. Isaiah 43:10-13, and 18-21 .
