Responding To The Fire

I just read where a woman shot at some firefighters who were trying to put out a fire in her backyard that she did not want put out.
I thank GOD for our firefighters who risk their lives every day for us. My Dad was one of those firefighters, who later became a Fire Chief. He has been retired for some years now, and deserves the rest.
Each of us respond to “fire” in different ways. A family friend told us a story of how he responded to his own fire that he himself started: “It was real cold when my wife and I came home the other night and the only warmth we had was from a wood heater in our bedroom. I added more pine than I should have. You’re supposed to just start the fire with pine to get it hot fast; I should have had a green type of wood so it wouldn’t burn as rapidly, or as hot. Before I knew it, the whole stove was a blaze.”
He said he was stunned right there in his place and couldn’t move. It took his wife shouting to get him to go fill a bucket with water quickly and put it out.
How do you respond to fire (to adversities; affliction; shocking doctor report, or other crippling news?) The enemy of our soul is out to steal, kill, and destroy our Joy, since it is our Strength. The devil hates us because we were created in the image and likeness of our Creator, GOD. GOD gave us the authority the devil thought he deserved. Jesus disarmed all principalities and powers of darkness, and rulers in high places, so we can use GOD’s truths to stop the devil’s plan for our lives, and the lives around us. Halleluia! A lot of us don’t know that yet, or else we’d be using that authority we have in Jesus’ Name, and through His blood.
I just read a text I sent a friend back in November of last year that said, “GOD just put in my spirit that the heat is about to be turned up and GOD said, “It isn’t Me doing it, but it is time to get out the heavy artillery.” I frantically said, “Lord? The heavy artillery? The heat turning up higher? I thought this was HOT ENOUGH!! So, what do I do? What’s the heavier artillery for the fire?
He said so clearly in my spirit, “More praise, more staying in My Presence, more praying!”
The Lord tells us what our response should be in the fire of adversity: Glorify GOD in the fires. Isaiah 24:15
This is how the three Hebrew boys responded to the fire: They said, “Our GOD is able to deliver us out, but if not, we still will not serve other gods” They were thrown into the hottest fire, and yet continued 111to worship only the One true GOD, Almighty GOD of creation. The king saw Jesus down walking in the fire with the three boys. The three came out of the fire without a hint of ash on them, no scent of smoke, only with a faith stronger than they had before! When fear came calling, they refused to listen, and praised GOD all the more.
Isaiah 48:10 Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. 11 For My own sake, for My own sake, I will do it; for how should My name be profaned? And I will not give My glory to another. Isaiah 43:2 And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you; when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flames kindle upon you, for I AM The Lord thy GOD.
Let us continue to be strong in The Lord and in the power of His might, giving glory to our GOD. (My Aunt Corine used to tell me, “You can stand anything for a little while.”) Let us glorify Him in the fire; being thankful, and not complaining. It’s going to be alright!
