What Season Are You In?
When I met and later fell in love with Honey George, I so looked forward to sharing every Season with him. I remember telling him after I asked him to marry me (HAHA! I know you weren’t expecting that; but yes, I asked him, and he said, “Yes” obviously) I told him, “I want to know you in Spring, if you get giddy or not when things start blooming; and I want to know you in Autumn, and crunch leaves with you as we walk through the park; and I want to go tubbing down the river with you in Summer and do things crazy.” George has always been so laid back, so he asked me, “Uhh, what kind of things?” HA! O, they were harmless things like, I got him to climb a tree with me soon after we were married, just to say we did. I got him to drink champagne with me on the roof in my B.C. days. I loved him so much, it was like I was sitting on the edge of my seat to see what he would do next.
The Lord put it on my heart, that’s just how close He wants us to be with Him. Wanting to know Him in every Season. Spiritually speaking, when we go through Spring, He gives us such beauty, and wants to bring fresh fruit into our lives as we spend time in His Word, and with Him, so He can prepare us for the long hot Summer ahead. If we do not spend that time with Him to allow Him to prepare us, we’ll take the next Season in our life a lot harder. It is so kind of our GOD to bring us the promise of Spring after a long, cold winter also.
What Season are you in? You might as well just let the Season happen, because GOD chooses the Seasons. “Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.” Psalms 139:16
“To everything there is a season: a time for every purpose under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1
“For The Lord says, "AT THE ACCEPTABLE TIME I LISTENED TO YOU, AND ON THE DAY OF SALVATION I HELPED YOU." Behold, now is "THE ACCEPTABLE TIME," behold, now is "THE DAY OF SALVATION." 2 Corinthians 6:2. In this Season GOD is trying His children; He is refining us as silver is refined. Psalms 66:10. It sure isn’t fun, but it will be worth it when we see Jesus Face to face,
to have our Wedding garments clean, ironed, and ready.
