Be Filled with His Spirit

Just have to share with you! It was almost time for me to leave to have "GOD Time" with the women at the retirement home. I said to the Lord, "Which one of these things in my heart do You want me to talk to the women about Lord? My heart is so full of stuff, and I don't have a clue as to where You want me to start." He put the COOLEST EVER thing on my heart, so I was excited to try it.
You know how in I Peter 5:6, 7 GOD tells us how to humble ourselves: "casting all your worries and cares over on the Lord; for He cares for you."?
I love that! And, I love it the way He tells us how to be filled with His Spirit.
I never knew that one of my favorite verses in Ephesians is also in Colossians 3:16 Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. It also says it in Ephesians 5:19-21, plus He tells us there how to be filled with the Holy Spirit: "Speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord: giving thanks always in all things to GOD the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of GOD."
I love that so much! Let me tell you what happened. The Lord put this on my heart: When I got to the room where the women were waiting for our "GOD Time," I asked them if they were all ready to "be filled with the Spirit of the Lord" together this morning. It was so funny the way they looked at me; but when I read them how GOD says to do it, they seemed excited to try, so we did. I asked if someone wanted to share their favorite psalm. One woman said, "I love Psalm 23!" She read it, and we each agreed that we all have the same Shepherd Who loves us so much, we will not lack any good thing. We reminded each other the promises in there were for each of us. We were feeling pretty good by then. After that, it says, "hymns"; so I had already gotten a hymn book for each person by now, and asked if anyone wanted to read a hymn to us, since we are filled with the Spirit by speaking these things to each other. A precious woman of GOD wanted to share a song, and she read it. It went like this:
"I am going to a city where the streets with gold are laid, where the tree of life is blooming, and the roses never fade." Chorus says, "Here they bloom but for a season, soon their beauty is decayed; I am going to a city where the roses never fade." Then there are "spiritual songs" so I believe that's when I picked up my guitar and sang them an old song, "Consider the lilies, they don't toil nor spin, and there's not a king with more splendor than them. Consider the sparrows, they don't plant, nor sow; but they're fed by the Master Who watches them grow. We have a heavenly Father up above, with Eyes full of mercy, and a Heart full of love: and He really cares when our head is bowed low; consider the lilies, and then you will know." We all submitted ourselves to each other in the fear of GOD, just by loving and accepting each other. By the time we finished with the songs, and psalm, I can say in all honesty, we were all filled with GOD's Spirit right then and there. We were acting giddy, full of joy, and laughter throughout the rest of our time together, I believe when GOD said, "Speaking to ourselves in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, He is also letting us know how to be filled with His Spirit afresh when we are alone, or sharing on the phone through texts or conversation, or right here. The Lord bless you as you step out in faith to be filled afresh with His Spirit.
